Whether you are getting your groove on with your date or want a nice night out with the family, Long Island is home to numerous outdoor venues to suit any style. Wantagh
Located adjacent to the boardwalk at Jones Beach near the Central Mall at Field 4, the Jones Beach Bandshell offers free live music and entertainment all summer long. From line dancing to kids movies and classic rock tribute bands, there is something for everyone at this classic summertime venue. Read more here.

Copiague
Located on the Great South Bay in Copiague, Tanner Park offers a great line-up of free concerts featuring classic rock tribute bands. Thousands flock to this gorgeous waterfront venue to relax, unwind and enjoy the music and the cool ocean breeze. Check out the 2022 concert schedule here.

Northport Village
The historic maritime village offers free summer concerts and family fun nights that are not to be missed. Northport Summerfest Concerts are held on Wednesday evenings at 7:30 p.m. at the town gazebo. Bring a chair, your dog and enjoy everything from rock to cool jazz! See more here.

Port Jefferson Village
Head to the Jeanne Garant Harborfront Park in Port Jefferson Village for performances ranging from tribute bands to children’s shows to Movies on the Harbor. Harborfront Park offers a variety of entertainment for everyone, along with breathtaking views of Long Island Sound. Get more info here.

Town of Hempstead
Summer 2022 concerts and events are back in full force in the Town of Hempstead this year.  There are too many concerts and parks to mention, but you can get their full schedule of entertainment here.

Glen Cove
After a two-year hiatus, Glen Cove is again offering a full season of concerts, every Friday night at 7 p.m. at Morgan Park, on the Long Island Sound. Concerts feature something for everyone, from rock and jazz to salsa and rhythm and blues. Find the lineup and details here.

Southampton and Hampton Bays
The Southampton Cultural Center’s 2022 Concerts in the Park are in full swing and can be enjoyed at three locations: Agawam Park, Coopers Beach and Good Ground Park in Hampton Bays, Wednesday evenings at 6:30 p.m. Agawam Park features a lake and a lush green lawn, Coopers Beach is consistently rated as one of the top 10 Beaches in the U.S., and Good Ground Park is a charming venue, so bring a blanket and a picnic basket and enjoy a roster of entertainment that includes many notable local musicians. Stony Brook
The Ward Melville Heritage Organization hosts free concerts on the Village Green in front of the historic Stony Brook Post Office on Sundays at 7 p.m., with water views and plenty of space to sit back and enjoy on the beautiful lawn—bring a chair and some refreshments. Entertainment includes bands from the golden age of rock ’n’ roll, jazz, traditional Irish music, country and doo-wop performances. Find more information here. 

Wantagh Once More
Of course, no list like this would be complete without a shout-out to Northwell Health at Jones Beach Theater. It’s on the water, the concerts go on as the sun goes down, and the energy is explosive.
